Starting a blog
So, hello internet! This is my first post in what I hope is a long running personal blog.
Doom scrolling
I noticed I was doing something called doom scrolling. I didn’t like the time I was spending on social networks and I was always thinking why I was wasting my life watching meaningful reels or shorts. Nothing there has value anymore and everything’s made to sell something. I looked for alternatives to spend some free time and apparently people were still blogging and posting things online on their private websites!
I downloaded this app feeeed and was very pleased with the way it works. I’ve never used an rss reader and turns out it’s a very satisfying way to spend some time scrolling (as long as you follow real people blogging interesting stuff). This piqued my interest and the idea started… until I got distracted with another thing because social media keeps pulling you in and sucking your soul. Anywho, I recently stopped doom scrolling for real and well, this is it!
So who am I anyway?
I was born in 1994 so I got to grow up alongside the internet. I remember the sound to connect to the internet , nokia phones and floppy discs. I even had one of this bad boys:

I was one of those kids who would stay in playing Nintendo Gamecube, get together with friends from school to have some Yu-Gi-Oh! matches or play Ragnarok Online (which apparently was popular on all latin america). I also play guitar since I was 10 years old and was a very good swimmer. I’ve also loved singing since I was a kid and still do!
Today I’m just a regular guy that likes software development, playing videogames and listening to music. I also like to take advantage of my hobbies to create something with them, so I’m currently learning to code games with LÖVE, pixel art design and music producing. I should focus on one at a time but I’m easily bored so I like to switch between them while learning.
I love horror movies, I usually don’t get scared but it’s always fun to see new ideas people have as well as monsters designs. One of my favorite movies is Sinister which apparently is not highly rated BUT I really like the sound design on the horror parts and the concept of the entire film.
Music is also one of my biggest passions and recently I am moving from streaming services to buying CDs, copying the music to me computer and reproducing on a little DAP I just bought called the Hiby R1. I’ll create a post about it in the future once I’ve used it enough.
What can you expect from this blog?
I mean I’m not sure of what I’m writing today and I’m certainly not sure about what’s gonna happen in the future. I’ll try to keep this centered to things I discover (tech, music, movies, games) or things I learn how to do and think I can explain it better than the tutorial I found. I want to keep this real without any AI modification of my texts so I’m sorry if things look weird while I learn how to properly write entire documents in english.
I also want to use this space to force me to investigate new things to use on my work and on my hobbies so my mind stays entertained and busy.
Now honestly speaking, I’ll add anything I want here.
See you soon!
